Description
I thought I'd try to paint in a more realistic way than I usually do, but it took so loooong. I didn't really count but I'd say at least 20 hours, which is quite unusual for me. Even more unusual, a background. Duh.This painting is supposed to be a kind of allegory of China. I looked at a lot of pictures of various traditional Chinese costumes and went for a mix of many things I saw. The flowers are peach blossoms. Peaches originally came from China and peach blossoms have special significations there. I read that they were associated to eternal life for instance.
